Using Mobile Devices to Support Language Learners

Mobile technology allows teachers to adjust the content, process, product in a student centered learning environment. The use of the iPads with ELL students facilitate flexible grouping, as students are supported by mini-lessons and practice. The iPads provide access to interactive activities and visual elements that support the learning objectives, including vocabulary development and reading comprehension. Attendees will examine activities or intervention strategies can be facilitated through the use of iPads to match instructional materials to students' abilities.
